About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Monitor in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, report security-related concerns, and help to deter incidents while supporting a professional environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Assist with managing access for deliveries, vendors, and construction-related personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, work areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unauthorized access, hazards, or unusual activity.
