As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and following site-specific access requirements.
• Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems; report irregular activity and maintenance concerns through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
