About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Kiosk Attendant in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and control entry and exit of employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions accurately in accordance with site-specific procedures.
