In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, and documenting site access activity according to location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Monitor gates, control rooms, and/or access systems to help support authorized movement of personnel, vehicles, and materials throughout the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, access concerns, and/or policy violations, and report findings according to site procedures.
