Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts.
  • Screen vehicles, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders, client policies, and applicable screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site personnel, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, administrative areas, and perimeter zones of the location, noting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or security-related concerns.
