This access control role may include routine patrols and responding to security-related concerns while working with a team that values reliability, agility, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, vendor, and delivery activity for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, drivers, employees, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Monitor the entry and exit of people, vehicles, and materials, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual, suspicious, and/or policy-related activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing gates, docks, parking areas, and other restricted areas for security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records, and follow Allied Universal procedures for post orders, incident documentation, and shift handoff communication.
