About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will help monitor entry points, manage badge and access activity, and patrol assigned areas to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and security-related policies at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check badges, passes, and/or identification, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with post procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and support security-related operations.
  • Assist with traffic and gate activity involving personnel, shipments, and/or deliveries, while maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with site personnel, and following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
