As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in SALINAS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. In this access control role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or credentialing points to help control site access, verify authorization, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting security-related response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, paying attention to access points, restricted areas, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Support visitor management, vehicle entry screening, and/or delivery coordination while maintaining accurate logs, clear communication, and professional interactions with staff and guests.
