About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Fort Collins, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and maintain accurate access records. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points at a food and beverage production or distribution location, verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records; issue and retrieve visitor credentials and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
