As a Security Officer Access Screening Driver in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service through teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and credential checkpoints to help control authorized access, verify identification, and document visitor and delivery activity according to site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and reporting security-related matters to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
