About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in SUMMIT, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and customer service while bringing our agile, reliable, and innovative values to every interaction with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential checks, and/or other security-related policies at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in a calm, professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with sound judgment, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Support truck traffic, employee entry, and visitor arrivals by maintaining accurate logs, following post orders, and reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to access points, shipping and receiving areas, and other location-specific conditions.
