About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support badge procedures while helping to maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening access at entry points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and credential checkpoints to help control site access, verify authorization, and report unusual activity in a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records, follow key and credential control procedures, and support compliance with site rules for restricted and controlled areas.
