About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Fort Dodge, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or checkpoints, verify identification and access authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry into production, warehouse, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and key access points, with working environments and conditions that may vary throughout the location.
  • Support daily access control operations by maintaining visitor logs, reviewing deliveries and outbound movement when required, and reporting unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
