As a Security Officer Access Control in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry and/or exit activity in accordance with site protocols, assisting with visitor processing, badge checks, and vehicle access as directed by location procedures.
  • Support day-to-day operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and by following post orders for patrol, incident response, and escalation procedures.
