About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a front desk location in a commercial real estate setting.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet visitors, confirm access permissions, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management and/or emergency contacts as needed.
  • Answer phones, assist tenants, visitors, and staff with directions and general questions, and support a professional front desk presence throughout the shift.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry points, reporting concerns, and following visitor management and badge verification procedures.
