As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access-related records.
  • Monitor truck, trailer, and delivery activity at designated entry points; communicate with drivers and site personnel regarding check-in procedures and authorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
