Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Sparrows Point, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols as needed, and communicate clearly to help support smooth operations. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to on-site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at entrances, gates, and/or lobbies by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining required visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and delivery traffic in an industrial location, confirming appointments, directing to designated areas, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications, reporting, and documentation according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
