About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Armonk, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas through consistent access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Support lobby and reception area operations by assisting with visitor processing, directing foot traffic, and maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required records related to security-related activity.
