About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced media and technology location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic media and technology location.
  • Monitor access control points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining entry logs, and communicating access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating issues according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support security-related operations.
  • Assist with reception-style duties related to access control, including answering questions, directing guests to the appropriate area, and coordinating with employees regarding visitor arrivals and deliveries.
