As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and associates, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and monitor activity to help identify security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering friendly customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing visitors, issuing badges, maintaining logs, and directing drivers and guests to designated areas.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, trailers, and deliveries as required, including monitoring gate traffic flow and reporting unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes, and report hazards, maintenance issues, and security-related concerns.
