About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and support visitor and contractor check-in processes in accordance with location policies and security-related procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrol activity, incidents, and daily operations, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate site representatives.
