As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide clear, professional communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and direct individuals to appropriate loading, receiving, and administrative areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
