As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol Driver in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and departure records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
