Security Officer Patrol Access Control

As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support access control activities. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, office areas, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and restricted access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual conditions.
- Assist with emergency response activities, including directing personnel and/or visitors during evacuations or other site emergencies as instructed.
