About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Kennesaw, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a professional presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting smooth site operations. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, including checking credentials, verifying authorized visitors and drivers, and maintaining visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, contractors, delivery drivers, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures to help protect the flow of shipments and property.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter; document security-related observations and activities.
