As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering or exiting the location, following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual circumstances according to company and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or vendors to provide assistance and information as needed.
