As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Mount Vernon, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and support loss-prevention efforts. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while helping to deter incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location; verify identification, credentials, and visitor or driver authorization before permitting entry or directing individuals to designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site-specific procedures; report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
