As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Bridgeport, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. In this role, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, support badge access activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and access points while verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing access permissions, and documenting security-related activity in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, support access restrictions, and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and support day-to-day security-related operations with clear communication and professional presence.
