As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and personnel. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government location while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery permissions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
