About The Position

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, assisting with front desk inquiries, and following site-specific policies for access and visitor processing at a government location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive front desk presence.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation related to access control and security-related activities.
  • Answer phones, direct guests and/or staff to the appropriate location, and support daily operations with professionalism and clear communication.
