About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Compliance in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and visitor management protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, lobbies, and/or other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site policies and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured entry points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Document visitor activity, access exceptions, and/or incident details in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
