As a Security Officer Access Badge Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify security-related concerns and unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized activity at a food and beverage location.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with visitor directions, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions that may require a security-related response.
