Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Monitor entry points, loading areas, and other designated locations for unauthorized access or unusual activity, and document observations in required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, and designated restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
