About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Lumberton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare facility areas and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, communicating site procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
