About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Walton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control, monitor site activity, and support security-related operations through visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, credential checks, and/or entry and exit documentation at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and delivery information, and help to deter unauthorized entry, tailgating, and/or misuse of restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting protocols for security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, loading and receiving areas, warehouse spaces, and perimeter points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Document daily activities, access exceptions, truck and visitor arrivals, and/or unusual events, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
