About The Position

As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered. The Unit Security Support person will support the government in the day-to-day implementation of security policy and procedures for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Bachelor’s Degree.
5-7 Years’ Experience in a Security Support role.
Understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) managed in accordance with DoD Manual 5220.32 National Industrial Security Program: Industrial Security Procedures for Government Activities Volume 1.
Adherence to Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 16-14, Security Enterprise Governance.
Must be US Citizens.
Must hold an active TS SCI clearance.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and judgment skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMs, Outlook).

Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Support the supervision of daily security activities and enforce company and government security policies for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
Perform access control responsibilities, including managing badges, access cards, and controlled spaces at Space Base Delta 41.
Support the government in certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses.
Help the government manage MD6’s National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
Help the government in performing duties as an assistant security manager for MD6.
Support the government in managing the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) including tracking training status of all MD6 personnel.
Help the government maintain the facility clearance in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency requirements.
Help the government implement procedures for handling proprietary, business confidential, and government classified information.
Assist the government in processing requests for granted personnel security clearances; review and submit documents as required.
Assist the government in managing security classification guides, safeguarding personnel information, resources technologies, facilities, and assets against harm, loss, or hostile acts and influences.
