Recruitment range is $ 70,528 - $81,939 This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits , including health insurance, as well as retirement. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, alternating between one full week onsite and one full week working remotely, subject to management approval. Management will have final approval of the selected schedule and may require the employee to report onsite more than the standard schedule depending on the nature of assigned work, general workload, demand of the unit, and agency policy changes. A hybrid work schedule is allowed per the department’s Telework Policy, which is subject to change and can be revoked at the discretion of management. This position is located at 700 Wade Ave., Raleigh, NC 27605. Purpose of the Position: The IT Security and Network Analyst will join a skilled and motivated team to play a critical role in safeguarding organizational information systems and maintaining robust network infrastructure. This position combines cybersecurity expertise with network administration responsibilities to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of enterprise technology resources while supporting business operations and regulatory compliance. Purpose of the Organizational Unit: The purpose of the Information Services Security unit is to provide security and compliance services to protect DES data and assets from internal and external threats by lowering risk to an acceptable level. Division Responsibility: The Division of Employment Security is responsible for the administration of the unemployment insurance program in the state of North Carolina. This program is a federal-state partnership, funded by federal and state unemployment taxes, which employers pay on the wages of their employees. Benefits are paid to eligible workers who lose their job through no fault of their own and are able, available, and actively seeking work.
