About The Position

This position monitors the Valley Health security systems and applications for access control and other security systems and software to ensure peak performance. Troubleshoots issues with access control, camera systems, and other security-related systems within the Valley Health System main and designated off-site facilities. Functions as a low-voltage resource for the entire Security Department, as well as Valley Health System and its entities. Works closely with other departments, vendors, and Information Systems to troubleshoot, maintain, and install new or existing systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in Lenel systems required
  • Two years' security experience, preferably in health care or two years of police experience including two years’ experience with security access control systems (Matrix/Frontier, KeyScan, and/or Lenel); camera systems and components (ExacqVision), other security systems/technologies, and the ability to work well with electronics and computer systems is required.
  • Driver's License - current and valid New Jersey driver's license. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 1-13 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment if driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively (oral and in writing); effectively interact with customers (internal/external) to determine and meet their needs; work independently with minimal direct supervision and work cooperatively within a team environment; adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer inquiries or concerns.
