Summary of Position The Security Manager will assist in overseeing all aspects of security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests, colleagues, and assets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within security, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices, emergency response procedures, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to hotel security.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant security certifications (CPP, PSP, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Assist the Director of Security with the day-to-day operations of the hotel's security department.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to security within the hotel.
  • Communicate security protocols and updates effectively to all colleagues.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services to ensure a swift and effective response in case of incidents.
  • Manage and supervise security colleagues, providing training and guidance.
  • Monitor and analyze security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarms.
  • Investigate security incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and manage access control measures to secure sensitive areas within the hotel.
  • Stay informed about current security trends, technologies, and best practices in the hospitality industry.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless and secure guest experience.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches and incidents, providing detailed reports.
