About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Manager plans and manages the daily operations of the Women and Families security department, working to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness for all departmental functions including maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and stakeholders. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with department heads and working collaboratively to establish protocols and standard policies and procedures regarding the safety and security of building, grounds, parking areas, assets and occupants. Creates and maintains a culture which values teamwork focused on providing a safe and secure environment for all. Anticipates changes and remains proactive in ensuring continuous security operations through problem solving and mitigation. Oversees the integration of security systems and technologies designed to protect the safety of staff, patients, and visitors. Chairs the Emergency Management campus committee. Leads the development of work scopes, operational procedures, institutional policies, and overall strategic planning for the multifaceted, integrated security activities of the campus. Ensures subordinate staff receive relevant training to maintain top performance.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience in security/law enforcement supervisory/management role
  • Drivers License
