About The Position

Automox is seeking a dynamic Security Manager to lead and grow its Security Engineering team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a leader focused on building team culture, establishing trust, and translating security strategy into actionable programs. The role involves bridging security vision and execution, partnering with Engineering, Product, IT, and other business units to achieve security, compliance, and risk objectives. Strong cross-functional relationship building and technical acumen are essential. As a people leader, the focus will be on coaching, career growth, and cultivating a culture of clarity, ownership, and collaboration.

Requirements

3+ years of management experience in a security domain
Experience with incident management
Compliance experience (especially SOC2)

Responsibilities

Translates high-level departmental strategy into team-level goals, milestones, and execution plans.
Takes responsibility for the performance, reliability, and culture of the team.
Anticipates resourcing needs, skill gaps, and operational risks; escalates appropriately.
Drives continuous improvement across workflows, processes, and operational practices.
Ensures team deliverables are scoped clearly, prioritized effectively, and completed on time.
Manages workload, planning, sprint cycles, and backlog health.
Implements processes that improve quality and predictability of output.
Supports cross-functional coordination, ensuring stakeholders understand timelines and dependencies.
Removes roadblocks that impede team progress and ensures issues are escalated appropriately.
