About The Position

The Security Manager (Physical Security Operations) is responsible for managing the day-to-day development, deployment, and integration of assigned physical security functional areas, and manages and measures processes that will support the overall business in an efficient and effective manner. This on-site position is based in Atlanta, GA and has regional responsibility for office locations in the southeast portion of the US.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience within security management, including a minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading others; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

Monitor security events on a daily basis for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats and violations.
Establish vision, direction, and specific objectives for team efforts; encourage collaboration.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with security guard force, vendors, associates, Facility Managers/Leadership, and business unit leaders to ensure seamless communication, effective decision-making, implementation of physical security strategies, and the efficient completion of shared objectives.
Promote HR policies and procedures in people management activities.
Conduct communications that involve obtaining cooperation on issues that may be complex or controversial.
Use negotiation and persuasion to come to agreement with others.
Conduct external communications with a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective long-term relationships typically with middle level contacts in customer and vendor organizations.
Accountable for the effective delivery of Physical Security projects to achieve the strategic and operational objectives.
