About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a full-time Loss Prevention Officer. The role involves identifying and apprehending shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of closed-circuit TV cameras, writing reports, interacting with local law enforcement as needed, and providing courtroom testimony when required. The position requires reliable attendance and the ability to work with little or no direct supervision. Shifts may include first shift, second shift, and weekends.

Requirements

• Complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately verbally and in writing.
• Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive yet controlled when dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Must attend scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
• High school diploma or equivalent, minimum.

Nice To Haves

• Previous loss prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus, but not required.
• Criminal justice or related studies are a plus.
