You will be reporting to the Manager of Security Services and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Aquarium security. The “friendly face” of security will have a main responsibility of assisting Guests and staff. The Security Liaison will also be involved with property patrols, escorting cash, identifying and rectifying potential, current and existing hazards, disarming hostile situations, crowd control, first aid coverage, maintaining a daily log, and as required, completing incident reports. Security will communicate any suspicious, dangerous, emergency or hostile situations to the Supervisor and diffuse them according the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada protocol. Although the Security Department will be trained and involved in all security procedures, they will not portray an intimidating presence while patrolling the building and site. Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before or after these hours of operation.
