Reporting to the Manager of Security Services, this role is responsible for overseeing and supervising the Aquarium security team on weekends and working with the manager on duty. The Security Liaison Team Lead acts as the "friendly face" of security, with a primary responsibility of assisting Guests, Staff, and Security Liaisons. This role is also involved with property patrols, escorting cash, identifying and rectifying potential, current, and existing hazards, disarming hostile situations, crowd control, first aid coverage, maintaining a daily log, and completing incident reports as required. Security personnel will communicate any suspicious, dangerous, emergency, or hostile situations to the Supervisor and diffuse them according to the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada protocol. While trained in all security procedures, security personnel will not portray an intimidating presence while patrolling the building and site. Due to the nature of the business, this attraction is open 365 days a year, and the employee will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before, or after these hours of operation.
