About The Position

The Security Lead Supervisor is responsible for all security officers' supervision, providing security, compliance with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal laws, rules, regulations, processes, procedures, and a safe environment in the absence of the Security Manager and the Security Director. Responsible for training the security staff, ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and company assets. This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guests' records and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc., is expected. Regular attendance is required and includes overnight hours, holidays, and weekends. Maintaining a neat, well-groomed professional appearance is always essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of six (6) years progressive experience in law enforcement, security, or equivalent education in a related field. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to make quick decisions as situations change and develop.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Electronic Key Tracking Systems.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Able to learn and follow detailed Security policies and procedures.
  • Possess exceptional report writing skills.
  • Ability to obtain, participate, qualify, and certify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, handcuffing, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, etc. within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Possess a valid WA state Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days).
  • Maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Casino and Hotel/Resort environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assume primary security leadership responsibility in the absence of the Security Manager and/or Security Director.
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of all departmental policies, company policies/protocols, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), Washington state Compact Responsibilities, Gaming Regulations, and Title 31/Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) requirements.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of casino rules, venues, activities, and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquiries.
  • Maintain a healthy working relationship with TGA.
  • Perform outstanding guest service by interacting and assisting guests and team members.
  • Complete shift briefing report summarizing the events; pass along pertinent information to oncoming shift and department leadership in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct safety walks in and outside of the casino, reporting, documenting, and mitigating any safety-related issues. Recognize and report on any Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) related violations.
  • Respond to all requests from other departments and entities on the property who report security or safety issues. This includes Hotel and RV Park.
  • Manage, report, and act on routine, non-routine, and emergency situations, including fires, leaks, hazardous spills, power outage, equipment failure, and evacuations.
  • Provide first aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until advanced care arrives.
  • Perform all security tasks and positions, setting the example for security officers to follow.
  • Communicate and implement departmental procedures in accordance with director and internal controls.
  • Ensure that Security staff actively patrol within their assigned areas and are in place at static positions, performing their duties as per department standards, policies, and procedures; ensure Security staff are compliant with all health and safety policies, regulations and protocols.
  • Monitor team member performance and conduct individual training, counseling, or corrective action as necessary.
  • Review and approve reports submitted by security officers for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and content.
  • Perform closing procedures and coordinate opening procedures, assuring proper notifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
