About The Position

Contributes to the efficient daily operation of Security department activities by ensuring effective security operations during assigned shift in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of security or law enforcement experience.
  • A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license is required when driving vehicles for work-related purposes.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR, and TIPS certifications.
  • Must obtain and maintain 10 hours of certified Security training.
  • Must be able to submit supporting documentation of education and training to support qualifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to licensing rules and regulations.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and qualify for insurance coverage under the company's fleet management policy, when applicable.
  • Pre-employment drug screen.
  • Personal reference check and employment verification.
  • Conducts Federal, State, and tribal criminal history in accordance with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Gaming Commission Regulation, Part 400.7, Background Investigations.
  • Medical, psychological and stress examination or test.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with supervising and providing guidance to Security Officers and Dispatchers.
  • Relieves Security Officers for breaks.
  • Patrols gaming floor and conducts checks for open machines, floor banks, drop doors, and lots.
  • Reports suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.
  • Performs all lobby duties, including verifying age of guests, opening doors, checking suspicious packages, and identifying intoxicated patrons.
  • Verifies fills, jackpot winnings, and credits for accuracy.
  • Transports money, chips, token, and markers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Controls access to restricted areas; reports all safety hazards.
  • Performs routine inspections of signs, aisles, walkways, fire suppression systems, and fire extinguishers.
  • Assists guests with vehicle lockouts, lost and found, and other safety issues.
  • Ensures employees adhere to all gaming policies and procedures; reports violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with controlling emergency situations, including resetting alarms, evacuating guests, or shutting down buildings.
  • Maintains complete and accurate paperwork, logs, and reports.
  • Communicates with other security personnel using two-way radios.
  • Responds to all incidents on SBCH Property.
  • Ensures lost and found items are bagged, tagged, and documented.
  • Performs emergency medical services as required.
  • Attends and participates in security briefings and staff meetings.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
