About The Position

The Security and Intelligence Operations Center (SIOC) Intelligence Support Specialist (ISS) is an operations focused intelligence analyst responsible for identifying, assessing, and communicating intelligence driven physical security risks. This role supports executive protection, teammate travel monitoring, event preparedness, proactive threat detection, intelligence reporting, and mass communications within a 24/7 intelligence operations environment. The ISS leverages open source intelligence (OSINT), intelligence tools, and real time monitoring to produce timely, actionable insights for Physical Security leadership and key stakeholders. Position has in office expectations and is not a remote role. Role will be located in Truist's Charlotte, NC office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training or experience
  • 2+ years of intelligence operations experience as demonstrated through work experience in law enforcement, the military, or private sector organizations
  • 2+ years of experience in a call center or Security Operations Center type environment
  • Proficiency in the intelligence life cycle as demonstrated through work experience
  • Ability to identify strategic insights and business enablement opportunities
  • Exercise critical thinking in a high stress, call center type environment with multiple intake channels
  • Ability to author complex intelligence reports that include both narrative exposition and graphic representation of data
  • Experience using basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Flexibility to work in a 24 x 7 environment with multiple shift options.

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), intelligence watch floor, or similar intelligence‑driven environment
  • Experience with Everbridge VCC, DataMinr and/or other intelligence platforms
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in intelligence, security, or emerging threat trends
  • Demonstrated experience supporting event preparedness through the development of pre‑event threat assessments, intelligence briefs, or risk analysis
  • Experience providing real‑time intelligence monitoring and reporting during planned events, major operations, or high‑visibility activities
  • Ability to contribute to or improve standard operating procedures, playbooks, or reporting templates
  • Experience using AI‑enabled tools to support research, content summarization, automation, or analytic workflow efficiency while maintaining analytic integrity
  • Experience supporting executive protection or senior leader travel through advance intelligence, destination risk analysis, or real‑time monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Intake, assess, communicate, and respond to criminal events, workplace violence threats, facility emergencies, and other physical security risks in accordance with SIOC policy and procedure
  • Collect, evaluate, and analyze information from multiple sources, including social media platforms, domestic and international news, dark web forums, and intelligence aggregation tools
  • Conduct OSINT investigations on threat actors, organizations, and emerging risks. Produce clear, defensible intelligence reports
  • Provide timely, tactful intelligence assessments and recommendations to management to support informed decision‑making
  • Develop and deliver routinized and event‑driven intelligence products for Physical Security and internal stakeholders
  • Support Executive Protection operations through live monitoring, research, and intelligence coverage
  • Monitor and support teammate travel safety through real‑time intelligence and incident response
  • Support event preparedness and security operations by developing pre‑event intelligence and threat assessments, and by providing ongoing monitoring, reporting, and analytic support during event
