About The Position

Unlimited Technology is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Installation Technician I. As an Installation Technician I, you'll work alongside experienced technicians installing and supporting electronic security systems including Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intercom Systems, Visitor Management Systems, Facial Recognition Technology, and Network-Based Security Systems. You'll gain valuable experience working in Data Centers, Higher Education Facilities, Commercial Office Buildings, Healthcare and Assisted Living Facilities, and Critical Infrastructure Environments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • DCJS certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to work on ladders and lifts
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials as required
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs require

Nice To Haves

  • 0-3 years of experience in security, electrical, telecommunications, construction, or low-voltage systems
  • Trade school graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Military veterans are encouraged to apply
  • Construction or mechanical experience is a plus
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems
  • Pull and dress low-voltage cable
  • Install card readers, door contacts, cameras, and related security devices
  • Assist with device termination and system testing
  • Read and interpret basic drawings and installation documents
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate project updates to supervisors and project managers
  • Follow all company and customer safety requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs
