About The Position
Shodair Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated and attentive night shift, Security Guard to help maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential to protecting our campus, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring the well-being of everyone who enters our facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 0–2 years of experience in security, customer service, or a related field.
- Ability to work under direct supervision and handle basic issues, referring complex matters to senior staff.
- Beginning to working knowledge of security practices.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital or healthcare experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard hospital grounds to support patient safety, prevent theft or violence, and protect property through active patrols and surveillance monitoring.
- Manage visitor access, greet guests, issue IDs, and maintain accurate logs.
- Operate, test, and document hospital equipment while completing assigned security tasks and preventive maintenance.
- Support clinical teams with video monitoring, high-acuity patient situations, and staff safety during shift changes.
- Serve as first contact for emergency responders, provide on-call assistance, and assist other departments as needed.
- Document incidents, communicate with security leadership and administration, and comply with all regulations and the Shodair Code of Conduct.
